CASE STUDY: FATHERS FOREVER

Client Overview

Organization: Fathers Forever

President & CEO: Dr. Glen Warren

Mission: Creating a stronger, healthier, and more connected community by addressing critical needs in food insecurity, health & wellness, scholarships, and philanthropy.
Service Region: Raleigh, NC
Focus Areas: Food access, educational opportunity, health equity, community philanthropy & grantmaking

PWCCF is a cornerstone of community support, bringing together schools, businesses, nonprofits, and government partners to address food insecurity, strengthen education, and expand access to resources across the county.

The Challenge

When Fathers Forever came to Redwood, their programs and vision were expanding faster than their communications could keep up:

  • Multiple programs, events, and initiatives were competing for attention at once

  • No consistent email rhythm with supporters and partners

  • A first-ever leadership summit that needed a full campaign built from the ground up

  • A long-running podcast that needed fresh positioning and promotion to grow its reach

  • Powerful father and family stories that weren't being captured and told consistently

  • A digital presence spread across multiple sites, pages, and platforms

  • New programs needing print and digital materials to support outreach

Goals

Fathers Forever's leadership wanted to:

  • Build a consistent, story-led communication rhythm

  • Launch the Bring Him All the Way Home Leadership Summit and bring cross-sector leaders to the table

  • Grow the Chat N Chew podcast audience

  • Tell the stories of fathers and families with dignity

  • Equip new programs with clear, professional materials

  • Strengthen Dr. Warren's voice as a leader in fatherhood and reentry

  • Expand the work statewide

The Redwood Reach™ Approach

Reach In: Discovering the Mission Roots

We worked closely with Dr. Glen Warren, the voice of the organization, and Angela Warren to understand the heart of Fathers Forever, the fathers and families they serve, and the partners they needed to reach.

We reviewed their email, social media, websites, podcast, and event communications to see where the story was getting lost.

Reach Deep: Building the Strategic Foundation

Redwood developed an integrated marketing strategy that included:

  • A story-led monthly email digest as the backbone of supporter communication

  • A campaign framework for milestone moments like the summit

  • Messaging built on the summit's three convictions: fatherhood belongs in reentry, halfway isn't all the way, and partnership is the missing piece

  • Podcast positioning and episode promotion structure

  • Reusable email templates for episodes, events, and monthly updates

  • Print and digital materials for programs and outreach

Reach Out: Executing the Vision

We executed across every channel:

  • Email marketing (Mailchimp)

  • Social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)

  • Event landing pages and registration campaigns

  • Podcast and YouTube promotion

  • Print collateral (postcards, brochures, signage, program booklets, name badges)

  • Website updates and digital lead pathways

Reach Up: Measuring and Expanding the Impact

We debriefed after the summit, reviewed campaign results, and refined the approach for what came next. That included readjusting the podcast strategy with consistently growing views, email campaigns that are developing donor relationships, and turning a single summit into a statewide tour.
